This installation is the result of experimenting with the aesthetic aspect of plastic bags, and part of the 2015 48 Stunden Neukölln festival themed "Kunst rettet die Welt" (Art saves the world). Found and collected, sometimes from the street, in Berlin over the course of months, the bags were washed, sorted by color and cut. The colors of bags (and other objects of everyday use) vary place to place and reflect a spectrum familiar and specific to our city transformed through the medium of art. |
